Solan is not just a leisure center. It is also a campsite. On weekends, families are happy to stay there. Admittedly, the health crisis has passed by there, and the Dutch tourist is not legion any more. Rather, it is people from the greater region who stop over at the Serry base in Moineville. It must be said that its campsite has many advantages: immersed in nature, on the banks of the Orne, it exudes calm.
In terms of prices, we are around 10 € per night, 25 € for a family of four, all inclusive. In addition to space for caravans and tents, four pitches can accommodate motor homes. “We provide a waste container, water, electricity, and people can join us without making a reservation, even if this is still preferable,” says Miloud Daakiche.
Which recognizes that the signage of the campsite is undoubtedly too small, to achieve this is to be earned … “Through the Miltol (tourist office), we appear on the registers of motorhome areas, we are present on the social networks. Another specificity of the base is that it owns a large chalet that families and friends can rent on weekends. An original idea to find yourself in a nice setting close to home.
A sporting and educational dimension
During the week, the campsite lives more to the rhythm of young people. These are essentially recreation centers that establish their vacation resort. Example, this week with the Jacques-Prévert social and cultural center in Thionville. They are between 14 and 17 years old and do a “learning camp”, as explained by Mr.me Ait Halla, director of the center.
“We come regularly, the site is nice, we are well received. Young people play sports, discover the zip line, the quad, the rules to be respected. But we also do exercises like a rally with photos in English. We always mix an educational dimension. »Otherwise, to relax, the new beach with an equipped pool instead of the beach volleyball courts has won general satisfaction!
Remember last summer
Solan, open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week from April to the end of September, had to reduce the sails compared to last year. About fifteen employees against 24 last summer. Obviously, with a campsite and a less frequented base, but the entertainment is still in full swing on weekends with concerts on Sunday afternoon or Saturday, August 15.
If the base is inter-municipal, Moineville provides a budget of € 3,000 to support the employment of young people in the city. Also, the Orne Lorraine Confluences intermunicipal association is investing € 6,000 to organize a holiday camp around music from August 17 to 22, for 7-17 year olds. Places are still available, advice to amateurs.
