Witnesses in the investigation against Krasimir Kamenov – Kuro say that the person hiding in South Africa ordered and organized three more murders, of VIS boss Meto Ilienski, and of the “Byzantine Brothers” – Radoslav and Nikolay Bikovi, BNT claims.
On Friday, the prosecutor’s office also announced that Curro was also being investigated for other murders committed in the past two years. He is already accused in absentia of having ordered the shooting of Lyubomir Iliev – Lyubo Politskaya in the spring of last year. The investigators had evidence that a month before the murder, Boyan Tabakov, accused of aiding and abetting, was in South Africa.
However, who is Metodi Metodiev, who became known as Meto Ilienski, and when did he disappear?
Around 7:00 p.m. on November 29, 2003, Meto Ilienski received a phone call while he was in his apartment in a condominium on Al. Pushkin Blvd. in the capital’s Pavlovo district, known in the criminal world as the “Colombian Embassy.” Minutes later, Metodiev comes out alone, without security and without a phone. He gets into an Audi in the dark, which takes him to Boyana quarter. This is the last trace of 38-year-old Metodi Metodiev. It is said that Petar Bozhilov, close to him, knew with whom he went on a date, but until his death in a scandal during a hunt near the village of Plana in 2012, he did not say anything about it.
Many versions are being worked on, but none have been proven. In 2010, the court officially announced that the heirs of Metodi Zlatkov Metodiev are his wife Yana and their daughter Mina.
November 18, 2013 – the disappearance of the Bikovi brothers
The fate of the “Byzantium Brothers” – Radoslav and Nikolay Bikovi – is similar. They are known as the ones responsible for the distribution of drugs in the “Hope”, “Svoboda” and “Iliantsi” neighborhoods. They work for Christophoros Amanatidis-Taki. However, in their thick files there is information that they were hired for wet orders by Curro as well. There is operational information that it was the Byzantium Brothers who carried out the order for the assassination of Meto Ilienski, and it was given to them directly by Krasimir Kamenov after the failed attempt to assassinate Ilienski in January 2003 in front of a capital restaurant a few meters from “Pirogov”. Then a gunman from a moving car takes aim at Ilienski, but hits him in the palm and the VIS boss survives.
On November 18, 2013 (exactly 10 years after the disappearance of Meto Ilienski), the two Byzantine Brothers left their homes without even taking their mobile phones, and since then there has been no sign of them. One version of the investigators was that they were trying to separate themselves from Taki. Evidence, however, has not been collected.
Only now, during the investigation against Krasimir Kamenov – Kuro, witnesses say that the murders of both Meto Ilienski and the brothers Radoslav and Nikolay Bikovi were ordered by Kuro. The motive for the murder of the Bikovi brothers is revenge for having started working for Taki. There are also witness statements that Meto Ilienski and Brethia Byzantiitsi were burned in the crematorium of the Sofia Cemetery and their bodies will not be found, and that is why they are missing without a trace, not killed, and that is why they continue to be wanted with yellow Interpol notices.
