Dark Souls Remastered: Switched version and amiibo moved to summer

17.04.2018 at 17:30 Publisher Bandai Namco today announced via Twitter that Dark Souls Remastered has been moved to Nintendo Switch. As a result, the planned amiibo “Solaire of Astora” will be released later. The extra time the team would like to use for further optimizations in the game. The other versions for PC, PS4 and Xbox One are not affected.

Earlier this year was part of a Nintendo Direct with Dark Souls Remastered ( buy now for 39,99 € ) the reissue of the first part officially for Nintendo Switch announced. A little later, the release was also confirmed for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A few weeks before the release, however, there is now bad news for fans who wanted to buy the title for Switch. Publisher Bandai Namco has announced via Twitter that Dark Souls Remastered has been moved to Nintendo Switch. Instead of May 25, 2018, the game will be released sometime in the summer of 2018. Also, the planned amiibo figure “Solaire of Astora” was postponed during this period. According to the publisher, the development team wants to use the extra time to further optimize the title. The switch version is currently being developed by the studio, which was already responsible for the porting of L.A. Noire. The offshoots for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be released as planned on May 25, 2018.
