After losing in the first round Australian Open Dayana Yastremskaya admitted that she is visited by thoughts about ending her career as a tennis player.

But the 21-year-old Odessa woman still refuses to hang her racket on a nail.

“With all the problematic situations and after a forced pause, my dad stepped aside from tennis, and he has always been the main thing for me since childhood. There are personal reasons for this, but I can only say that it was me who was to blame. I often went against it, I am a problematic daughter,” Yastremska admitted in an interview with btu.org.ua.

“And, as my dad said after my match at the Australian Open, I can’t do it on my own. Now I’m going in a completely different direction. I can agree with him and, frankly, there were thoughts of finishing it all. But I don’t want to believe in it, I don’t want to believe what different people write on social networks, that I have to finish. No, I have to deal with this situation,” says Dayana.
