A 21-year-old participant died of heart failure on Saturday while running the Mont-Saint-Michel Half Marathon.
The young runner collapsed around 12:30, according to information from France Bleu Armorique, and help was not able to revive him.
The accident occurred at the 20th kilometer run. Despite the rapid intervention of two runners having practiced a cardiac massage, then the arrival of help, the young man died.
Approximately 3000 runners participated in this event which brings together races of several distances in one weekend every year.
