CINEMA – Billy Drago died on Monday, June 24, his agent told the magazine The Hollywood Reporter without specifying the causes of death. The 73-year-old American actor leaves behind a forty-year career and appearances in more than one hundred films.
Among them, "The Incorruptibles" by Brian De Palma, in which he plays the role of Frank Nitti in 1987, and "The hill has two" of Alexander Aja.
The son of American native filmmaker William Eugene Burrows, he very early made the choice to borrow the name of his grandmother not to be compared. After starting out as a stuntman, he finally turned to acting as a result of an injury.
Known in the world of cinema, he was also seen on the small screen in the TV series "X-Files" and "Charmed", in which he played the character of the demon of fear Barbas over seven episodes of 1997 to 2004.
A journalist for the Associated Press agency early in his life, he became an iconic figure in his home state of Kansas. Married for a while to actress Silvana Gallardo, he leaves behind his two sons, actors Darren and Derrick Burrows, as well as several grandchildren.
