Dengue: City Hall will notify landowners that are not clean

From the beginning of 2022 to date, Ajuricaba has recorded 302 dengue notifications, with 54 autochthonous (local) positive cases, 1 imported positive case and 18 discarded. The rest is still under investigation.

The municipality’s Environmental Health Surveillance continues to carry out inspections in homes and, even after 2 cleaning efforts were carried out, a lot of garbage is still found in patios and mosquito outbreaks.

Epidemiological Agent Maisa Lorenzon warns that without the help of the community there is no way to fight the mosquito, as the team cannot be everywhere at the same time to eliminate the outbreaks. The Technical Coordinator of the Health Surveillance Service Anelise Schneider emphasizes that the application of smoke is not the solution. According to her, 80% of the elimination of mosquitoes occurs through the elimination of outbreaks in homes.

So, do your part, take care of your patio: eliminate tarpaulins, water tanks, flower dishes, check gutters, drains, pools, pool machines and remove garbage correctly.
