After a last unexpected snow this week it finally seems to be patio season. The sun is shining, a long vacation weekend is coming up and outdoor bars invite you to linger.
To prepare you for the hot days, we recently explored Denver's best hidden courtyards for dining and drinking. The readers appreciated some of our decisions, but others wondered: What about Esters (at both locations)? The new terrace at Fish N Beer?
I love the snug … great place to hang out on a sunday afternoon!
The bra tree has long since disappeared from The Fainting Goat, but the terrace is still fantastic!
I want all the terraces all the time.
But then there is Vicki's:
I'm so glad Denver has nowhere to eat anywhere if you live south of Colfax or east of Broadway.
Do not worry, Vicki. Sarah McGill has just created a guide to bar patios throughout Denver, and although the Irish Snug (east of Broadway) is included, it goes much further.
Visit Aurora at Gibby's Bar for fun in the sun.

Sometimes you want a secluded patio for a more intimate evening, such as the beautiful garden at Bistro Vendôme on Larimer Square or the secluded spot behind the My Brother's bar.
But there are other times when you want to be part of the party, and there are the courtyards outside of many subway bars. Sarah McGill, our weekly bar columnist, has just served a guide to grand courtyards in pubs across the Denver area. There is something for everyone on their list, from north to south and from east to west.
