Because calls to prayer rang out: Despite contact bans due to the corona pandemic, around 300 people gathered on Friday in front of a mosque in Berlin-Neukölln, according to police.
The imam, the public order office and the police officers had only partially succeeded in persuading people to keep the prescribed distance, as the police tweeted on Friday evening. “The prayer was ended prematurely in agreement with the Imam,” it said.

The officials of the mosque also assured the police, via social media, that they would once again point out that calls to prayer did not have to be followed by personal appearances and that the calls were immediately ended when people gathered again.
