Diablo 4 is coming out sooner than we expect

If someone had asked me when Diablo 4 would be released, I would have said that it would be in the second half of 2023 at the earliest. However, according to new unofficial information, I would be wrong. Blizzard is reportedly planning to release Diablo 4 already in April 2023.

Nick Baker of the Xbox Era podcast and Jez Corden of WindowsCentral debated the date of the fourth Diablo in a new video. They agree that Blizzard is planning for Diablo 4 extensive marketing campaign. It should start in December at The Game Awards. It is there that the release date is to be announced via a new trailer, possibly with an invitation to the public beta. It will serve as a demo version.

At the same time, pre-orders for various editions and physical collector’s editions are set to launch, with all sorts of attractions for hardcore Diablo fans. Pre-orders are said to ensure early access to beta version. It could be available as early as February.

Earlier this year, Blizzard announced that Diablo 4 will be a live service title. It will have regular seasons, a cosmetic shop, and a Battle Pass. The seasons are modeled after Diablo 3’s seasons.

The same information was now heard in an interview with the American server IGN. From him we learn that Diablo 4 is built to offer players thousands of hours of fun. The story campaign is important, of course, but Blizzard wants to keep players engaged in the hack-and-slash action even after it’s finished. After the end of the story, you will have it at your disposal lots of other contentincluding regular expansion.

Now it’s important for developers to plan and prepare everything correctly so that they don’t have to wait too long for new content.

Perhaps in light of the rumored release date, Blizzard’s president tweeted that we shouldn’t believe everything we read. So we’ll see. Anyway, Diablo 4 is in development for PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
