The Chilean Diego Valdés gave an assist and scored a goal in America’s victory over Puebla, a result that classified the “Eagles” to the semifinals of the Mexican Clausura.

It was the great figure. Chilean midfielder Diego Valdes shone this Saturday in the preview of the America to the semi-finals of the Mexican Clausura Tournament, after a 3-2 home win over Puebla.

The national team stood out at the Azteca Stadium with a goal and an assist, establishing himself as one of the best players of the ‘Águilas’ and of the tournament.

The former player of Audax Italiano scored the partial 2-1 at 58 minutes, through a penalty kick. Then, at 73′, gave an assist to Alejandro Zendajas for 3-1.

The other goal for America was the work of Henry Martin, at 42 minutes, while the visitor scored through Israel Reyes (45+2′) and Fernando Aristeguieta (90+7′, from a penalty).

In the losing team, the Chilean midfielder said present Paul Parrawho saw action until 85 minutes.

In this way, the ‘Eagles’ won the series 4-3 since in the first leg, on May 11, they equaled one goal at the Cuauhtémoc Stadium.

For the ticket to the final, the cast of Diego Valdés will play with the winner of the series between Pachuca and Atlético San Luis, who is 2-2 after the first leg.
