Next week, the average price of diesel is expected to exceed that of gasoline

The prices of diesel and gasoline will soar next week, with increases of more than 14 and eight cents per liter, respectively, following the rise in the prices of oil products on international markets, according to industry sources.

According to the reference prices of the National Entity for the Energy Market (Ense), the average price of simple diesel is this Friday at 1.754 euros per liter and should, as of Monday, reach close to 1.90 euros per liter at filling stations in Portugal, while the average price of gasoline 95 – currently at 1.795 euros per liter – will reach 1.88 euros per liter.

Thus, next week, the average price of diesel should exceed that of gasoline.
