They had been deprived of this major summer event in 2020. If conditions allow, the people of Dijon will be able, this year, to once again enjoy the July 14 fireworks display. The fireworks show, with or without sound, must be “rhythmic, aesthetic, colorful and accessible to the widest possible audience”.
Other criteria appear in the specifications of the call for tenders published on May 3 by the City of Dijon *, to find the fireworks engineer who will take care of its design and production. Thus, the fire must be “original, creative, tell a story and built especially for Dijon”.
The service should not cost more than € 80,000
This is not the only will of the community. While it is due to inaugurate the International City of Gastronomy and Wine (CIGV) at the end of the year, it hopes that the candidates will propose “a note of artistic intention on this theme”.
The fireworks must last at least fifteen minutes, and the City specifies that “the price of the service may not exceed 80,000 € per year including tax”. In the event of unfavorable weather conditions on July 14, the City could decide to postpone the fireworks until the next day, July 15.
In 2019 and 2018, the pyrotechnic shows of July 14 were carried out by the pyrotechnician Ruggieri. Of shows at 360 ° having respectively as themes “Citizenship and democracy” and “The stars of Dijon” (featuring the districts of the city).
