TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian recalled his togetherness with Anies Baswedan when he was still serving as Kapolda Metro Jaya. Tito said that he worked closely with Anies, who at that time was still the Governor of DKI Jakarta.
“I have served in Jakarta for a long time, including at the Metro Jaya Police Chief, the problems in Jakarta are not easy, very, very, very complex, but Mr (Anies) Alhamdulillah, I was able to solve it,” said Tito Karnavian during the Anies dismissal ceremony at the Ministry of Home Affairs Office. , Central Jakarta, Monday, October 17, 2022.
Tito expressed his deep gratitude to Anies and Ahmad Riza Patria who replaced Sandiaga Uno as Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta. Representing the Central Government, Tito hopes that Anies and Riza’s work will be rewarded with abundant rewards.
“God willing (Anies and Riza stopped) in a state of husnul khotimah,” said Tito.
The dismissal of Anies and Riza was stated in Presidential Decree No. 100/P of 2022. In the letter, President Jokowi respectfully dismissed both of them from their positions.
In the Presidential Decree, Jokowi also appointed Heru Budi Hartono as Acting (Pj) Governor of DKI Jakarta for a maximum of 1 year. The dismissal of Anies and the appointment of Heru have been effective since the Presidential Decree was read out today.
Previous Anies conveyed that he wanted to rest after not being the number one person in the DKI Provincial Government on October 16, 2022.
