District surcharge judgment final: municipalities receive money back – Kaiserslautern district

The Federal Administrative Court has dismissed the state’s complaint: The district surcharge judgment of the Higher Administrative Court in favor of the Lauter district is now final. The 50 local communities belonging to the district will now receive a total repayment of a good two million euros.

The money comes from the payments that the municipalities made to the district in 2016 as a so-called district levy.
