Divers rescue man from the Neckar

Divers from the professional fire brigade rescued a 43-year-old man from the Neckar in Heidelberg. A witness had previously informed the police that a man jumped into the Neckar but did not reappear. According to further information from the police on Tuesday, a boat from the fire brigade and a police helicopter were used in the immediately initiated rescue operation.

According to the officials, there are no indications of third-party negligence or suicidal intent.

Nothing was known about the man’s health as of Tuesday afternoon. After his first emergency medical treatment, he was taken to a clinic in an ambulance. dpa
