Djokovic sensationally lost to Khachanov in the Masters final in Paris

The second racket of the world Novak Djokovic suffered an unexpected defeat in the final of the ATP-1000 tournament in Paris.

After yesterday's victory over Roger Federer, Djokovic came close to Rafael Nadal's record for the number of wins at the Masters. It was expected that the Serb would not have problems in the match with the 18th racket of the world Karen Khachanov, but the Russian was able to present a big surprise.

At the start of the match, everything went according to the script of Djokovic – a Serb in the fourth game made a break and led 3: 1. Khachanov did not panic, but instantly returned to the game. In the end of the set, Djokovic again unpleasantly surprised his fans – with the score 5: 5 Novak did not cope with the defense of Khachanov and gave his pitch. The Russian in the next game won back from 0:30 and filed for a set.

In the second set, the match scenario did not change – Khachanov better served and actively used a low percentage of the first ball from Djokovic. In the third game, Khachanov, after an unforced mistake of the opponent, made a break and retained a minimal advantage without any problems (7: 5, 6: 4).

The largest career victory brought Karen Khachanov more than 970 thousand euros in prize money and 1000 rating points, which will allow the Russian to rise to the 11th record in the ATP ranking in his career.
