Doctor Strange 2: Ryan Reynolds could have appeared as Deadpool

Screenwriter Michael Waldron confirms that discussions have been taking place for a Deadpool appearance in Doctor Strange 2.

In the production process of Doctor strange in the multiverse of madness, several names appeared on the list of possible appearances. Among them was the possible debut of Deadpool in the MCU. Ryan Reynolds’ character was one of the first to secure a future spot in the MCU after the merger with Fox with the announcement of a third movie in the works.

At the moment, we don’t know when Deadpool 3 will hit theaters, but apparently there have been discussions about reintroducing the character and his appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Then the rumors of Deadpool joining that movie became even more real in February when fans thought they saw him on the official movie poster. Now that the film is in theaters around the world, the film’s screenwriter revealed in an interview with ComicBook.com that Wade Wilson’s appearance had been considered.

“Yes, we talked about it. I think we talk about everything in this movie. So, [ça] It would have been crazy not to talk about it, but in the end it was not the right place. But yes, of course, we talked about it. »

When the rumors grew, Ryan Reynolds denied his presence in the film but few believed him, thinking that he was lying as Andrew Garfield lied. Spider-Man No Way Home.

Doctor strange in the multiverse of madness is currently in theaters and Ryan Reynolds continues to work on Deadpool 3 which will be directed by Shawn Levy.
