To speak of Donation and Transplantation is to consider the health and well-being of another. It is to raise awareness and promote values such as: solidarity, care and empathy. For this reason, every May 30, in our country, the National Day of organ and tissue donation, established by the INCUCAI, is commemorated.
This date is an opportunity to reflect on the value of donating organs and tissues for transplantation, representing a new opportunity to continue life.
The main message on this date will be one of thanks. Each transplant carried out in the country is possible thanks to the participation of society, represented in the act of donating; to the intervention of hospital establishments and provincial bodies belonging to the health system.
The objective of this date is for the community to commit to a health situation of which we are all a part and to promote the dissemination of notions of prevention, care and health rehabilitation around transplants.
To give is to give life. Give us together.
