Roland B., 22, was sentenced to six years and nine months in prison for two heists in Dover in January 2019. His colleague, 19-year-old Eryk M., who was underage at the time of the offense, will be sent to a center for juvenile delinquents for four years.
The sentence concerns two seizures. The first one took place near the Dover Priory train station. There, three bandits (Eryk M., Roland B. and their younger colleague, whose data were not disclosed) surrounded the 38-year-old. One of them shouted that he was a policeman and demanded that the bag be returned. The men took the assaulted valuables and 120 pounds (about 645 zlotys) in cash.
The second victim was a 17-year-old. The bandits were waiting for him in the parking lot. They put a helpless teenager a rib knife and shouted that if he only moved, he would die. The scared boy had a cell phone with him and only eight pounds (43 zlotys) .. He gave everything to the thieves.
Eryk M. and Roland B. pleaded not guilty, but the court sentenced them on the basis of very strong evidence. Their third, underage partner, was sentenced to 15 months in a detention center for juvenile offenders. During the session, the judge emphasized that the Poles’ behavior was influenced by their strong addiction to marijuana.
As reported by the British media – Roland B. fell into because he had several other offenses, including burglaries. One day he decided to rob the old people’s home. To get inside, he stole their keys first. Inside, he was found by the son of a couple who had made a civic detention.
