The police were only able to assign the right truck with great difficulty – both had to sleep in intoxication –

On Monday evening, Bayreuth traffic police officers were called to work at the Franconian Switzerland rest area because a young Polish truck driver was allegedly rioting there. When the police patrol arrived, the heavily drunk man could be found. Only with the help of other truck drivers could the drunk be assigned to the correct truck.
Because a breath alcohol test showed a value of almost three per thousand, the vehicle key was removed from him until he was sober again. His passenger was already in the bunk and slept off his intoxication there. Even this was no longer roadworthy with around two per thousand. However, there was no criminal offense.
The two Poles were asked to go to sleep and spend the night quietly. They then complied with this request.
