A suspected drunk driver survived the rollover with his car on the B 317 between Schönau and Todtnau early on Sunday morning unharmed.
According to the police, the 40-year-old had strayed off the road to the right near Schlechtnau around 6 a.m. and crashed into a wall. As a result, his car overturned and landed on its roof. The driver was able to get out of his badly damaged car unharmed. Since an alcohol test with an alcohol dispenser showed around 1.8 per mille, a blood sample was taken and the man’s driver’s license withheld. The property damage incurred amounts to several thousand euros. Ambulance service, fire brigade and police were on site with a total of six vehicles.
