Dua Lipa to make her acting debut in a spy thriller

A new action franchise, which will have British singer Dua Lipa debuting as an actress, was announced this Thursday, July 8. This is the spy thriller “Argylle”, which will be directed by Mathew Vaughn.

The cast is completed by a handful of established actors such as Henry Cavill, Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, John Cena and Samuel L. Jackson.

This will be the first time a Grammy winner has walked around the set. But that’s not all, as Lipa will also create the main theme and shape the original score for the soundtrack.

“Argylle” is the work of Ellie Conway, and the story follows the world’s greatest spy as he faces various adventures that take him to various parts of the globe. This could be the first film of at least three, which will make up the franchise, and will be set in the United States and London, among other settings. Filming will begin in August, published the specialized portal The Hollywood Reporter.

Vaughn will direct a script written by Jason Fuchs (“Wonder Woman”). “This is going to reinvent the spy genre,” the director told the outlet.

Marv, the production company that signed the millionaire budget, is currently in post-production on “Silent Night,” directed by Camille Griffin and starring Keira Knightley and Lily-Rose Depp, among other bets.

The film’s first thriller will be released in 2022.
