Dune: Spice Wars gets new faction House Corrino

Dune: Spice Wars, the 4x RTS game set in the world of Dune, welcomes Imperial House Corrino. Now with five playable factions, the flames of the Spice War are reignited. Built on a strong foundation Dune: Spice Wars bigger and better since the Early Access launch in April. Today’s major update marks the second of four announced milestones on the road to launch. Some smaller updates also bring other small features, balancing and QoL improvements.

Shaddam IV, the Padishah Emperor, brings his mobile royal palace to Dune; a sign of his dominance over the planet. While this position provides him with a steady flow of taxes and bribes, he must balance this with the responsibility of paying the Spacing Guild to keep interstellar travel affordable.

As House Corrino, players influence the other factions by manipulating the Landsraad and CHOAM markets. Should that fail, they can unleash the ruthless Sardaukar upon their foes.

As rulers of a galaxy-wide empire, the Imperial advisors are well versed in intrigue. Princess Irulan and Wensicia Corrino, daughters of Shaddam IV, offer politically savvy and imaginative advice to House Corrino. Captain Aramsham is a Sardaukar officer and expert at commanding the most elite combat force in the universe. Assassin Hasimir Renring is one of the Empire’s deadliest fighters and Shaddam IV’s closest friend.

Players can turn the other factions against each other, wield their political and military power with cold precision, reclaim what is rightfully (or wrongly) theirs, and of course, keep the spice flowing. The new Imperial faction is now available to try.
