After almost two years of operation and more than 660,000 vaccinations, the municipal vaccination center will close at the end of the year.

The city is acting in accordance with a current decree from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The cities and municipalities should only provide their stationary and mobile vaccination services until the end of this year; from January 1st, corona vaccinations will instead be offered by resident doctors and pharmacies, according to the Düsseldorf town hall. Last opening day of the municipal vaccination center will be December 16; mobile vaccination services will be discontinued on December 31st. Since the opening in February 2021, around 665,000 corona vaccinations have been administered in the Düsseldorf vaccination center alone. There were around 1.6 million vaccinations throughout Düsseldorf. The city speaks of success in the fight against the pandemic.
