Dynamo Dresden extends with Patrick Weihrauch by one year

Dresden. Dynamo Dresden has extended the contract with midfielder Patrick Weihrauch, which expires in summer 2022, until June 30, 2023. The second division soccer team announced this on Thursday. The 27-year-old’s contract applies to the 2nd and 3rd leagues. “We are absolutely convinced of the qualities of Patrick Weihrauch – both athletically and personally,” said sports director Ralf Becker in a club announcement.

Weihrauch joined Dynamo in the summer of 2020 and played 16 point games for the Saxons in the third division promotion season. He scored three goals and prepared five more. The 27-year-old attacking midfielder has not been on the field since December due to an ankle injury. “With the early extension of the contract, we would also like to give him a certain security that he will continue to receive our full support in order to work consistently on being able to support Dynamo Dresden with 100 percent on the pitch again soon,” said Becker.
