E3 2019: New Xbox project Scarlett Technical details: 8 KB, 120 FPS and one SSD

Microsoft's new console plans were unveiled during the Xbox E3 2019 press conference as the next-generation Xbox console platform, Scarlett. The launch is scheduled for Holiday 2020, and while Microsoft has not presented the physical system or details of the console's final name, price, or specific release date, the company has talked about the system at a high level and outlined some of its specifications and specifications Skills. (Note, however, that Scarlett may not be the name of a single console.)

Scarlett has a custom Zen 2 processor from AMD and an SSD that reportedly dramatically improves load times and also acts as virtual memory. The system has high bandwidth GDDR6 memory and is said to be four times as powerful as the Xbox One X, currently the most powerful console on the market. It also has a drive.

AMD's CEO, Lisa Su, attended the Xbox meeting today. She congratulated Phil Spencer and his Xbox team on the announcement and their collective "amazing vision around gaming."

"So honored and proud to work with Project Scarlett along with your incredible team to shape the future of gaming," Su told Spencer.

Xbox Scarlett supports variable frame rates of up to 120 FPS and 8K graphics. According to Microsoft, "hundreds" are currently working on the new Xbox and it will support the games and accessories that you may already own.

Many of these details have been described by Sony in relation to the PS5, which also supports 8K and backward compatibility and is equipped with an SSD.

The Xbox Scarlett console, or whatever it is called, will be released in Holiday 2020. The pricing has not been announced. However, we know that Halo Infinite will also be released in Holiday 2020, probably as the startup title for the new console.

It was rumored that Microsoft should announce another Xbox console during the event, but this did not happen. Our understanding so far was that Microsoft will offer several next-generation Xbox systems, similar to the current Xbox One X and Xbox One S.

According to Microsoft insider Brad Sams, Scarlett is the name of Microsoft's entire next-generation console strategy. Anaconda is a high-end model, as the system announced today, and the second model is the low-spec model Lockhart, which was not shown today.
