EA Games and DICE unveiled us Battlefield 2042 earlier this week with an impressive CGI trailer, but fans were obviously waiting to see some gameplay. The appointment was made for this Sunday, FPS did make an appearance at the conference Xbox & Bethesda Showcase with an explosive video, to admire right here:
For this first revelation of gameplay from Battlefield 2042, SHE and DICE chose to take us to Qatar, in the city of Doha on the map hourglass, for a 128-player game, one of the big novelties of this opus on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X | S. The edit, taken from a pre-alpha version of the game, shows everything that makes the franchise so successful, with explosive action, aerial fighter jets, shooting all over the place, players who advance in squads or quads launched against helicopters from a roof. The map already seems very varied, with a football stadium, dunes of course, but also a wide highway crossing the map with abandoned vehicles behind which it will be possible to hide.
The sequence of gameplay also highlights the on-the-fly accessory modification system, allowing as a reminder to modify the barrel, the grip, the sight and the bullets of the weapon directly on the battlefield. We still have to find a shelter, like here an elevator taking us to the top of the building. Once up there the player can go from one building to another thanks to ziplines or even jump in wingsuit quickly. Another novelty of this Battlefield 2042, the presence of major climatic changes, with here a huge sandstorm hitting the battlefield, enough to hamper the airmen and even the troops on the ground as the visibility drops.
And that’s all for the moment, the studios give us an appointment at theEA Play Live July 22 to review the game and in particular to discover a new mode developed by SAY Los Angeles. Battlefield 2042 release date set for October 22, 2021 on PC, PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One, you can pre-order it for € 59.99 on Amazon.
