Magdeburg (dpa/sa) – For around 6000 schoolchildren in Saxony-Anhalt, the Abitur exams will start next Monday. They start with history in the written subjects and end with biology on May 6th, as the Ministry of Education in Magdeburg announced on Friday. The oral exams will follow from June 20th.
“The second year under pandemic conditions demanded a lot from the high school graduates,” said Education Minister Eva Feußner (CDU). “I am all the more pleased that the Abitur examinations can now take place as planned and fairly, nobody will suffer any disadvantages.”
According to the ministry, this year’s final graders have largely been taught face-to-face in the current school year. Nevertheless, there will be a 30-minute longer processing time for high school graduates again this year. If the students pass the exam, they should receive their diplomas by July 8th.
