Dolores Hidalgo, Gto. March 30, 2022.- The State Water Commission of Guanajuato CEAG held the second sectoral meeting of water utilities 2022 in the municipality of Dolores Hidalgo.

Among some of the topics that were presented to the Directors of the Water Operating Organizations were Resource Management in the National Commission of Indigenous Peoples, the Investment Program for the development of hydraulic works and actions 2022, Alternative Sources of Financing, Potable Water Program for Rural Areas of Priority Attention.

In this meeting, the CEAG announced the Management Indicators of Water Operators, which are divided into levels according to their physical and commercial efficiency, financial strengths, water coverage, drainage, sanitation, micro and macro measurement, as well as the information management, among others.

The indicators are a fundamental part of proper functioning and operation because they serve the municipal water systems as instruments for institutional consolidation, so that they can be better both internally and externally in the provision of services and administration of resources.

Among the indicators that can be evaluated and improved by a water utility for gradual improvement are: Governance, Efficiency, Financial Strength, Human Capital, Quality Services, User Focus, Innovation and Development.

For this sectoral meeting of operating agencies 2022, municipalities of the north central zone were convened, among which are: San Miguel Allende, Comonfort, Doctor Mora, Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, Irapuato, León, Ocampo, Romita, Salamanca, San Diego Union, San Felipe, San José Iturbide, San Luis de la Paz, Santa Catarina, Silao and Tierra Blanca

It should be noted that this sectoral meeting was held as part of the World Water Day events “Groundwater making the Invisible Visible” to promote the continuous improvement of operating agencies in the provision of hydraulic services, care and conservation of water.

The sectoral meeting was led by the Director General of the CEAG Paco García León and management staff of the agency.
