Starting today, users in Europe will be able to perform medical-grade heart function tests using the electrocardiogram feature on the new Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro and Huawei Watch D smartwatches. This will allow you to conveniently monitor your heart rhythm and proactively respond to potential heart health risks. Thanks to the CE certificate, the Huawei ECG app has obtained market availability qualification in 33 European countries, including Latvia.

“The ECG sensor module of the Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro can analyze the sinus rhythm and atrial fibrillation of the wearer of the device in real time. This EKG monitoring can help users identify irregular heart rhythms as well as many other heart problems. The measurement process is simple and convenient – you need to turn on the ECG app on the watch, hold your finger on the electrodes on the side of the device for 30 seconds and the test results will be visible on the watch screen,” explains Huawei product training manager Mikus Tillers.

Additionally, the smartwatch’s PPG sensors allow users to screen for arteriosclerosis, while with the help of artificial intelligence, the device is able to provide customized health advice to further improve cardiovascular health.

“The new and improved electrode technology of the Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro has made the collection of electrocardiogram signals more accurate. Consisting of a Huawei TruSeen 5.0+ heart rate monitor and PVD-coated electrodes on the back of a curved, transparent neo-crystal body, this ECG feature can deploy eight photoelectric sensors in a ring pattern, capturing enhanced signals and filtering out interference to provide users with real-time results. Thanks to this advanced health monitoring technology, smartwatch users can monitor their heart rate 24 hours a day and receive immediate alerts for changes outside the normal range,” says M. Tillers.

As previously reported, Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro is also capable of monitoring users’ blood oxygen level (SpO2), and the device is equipped with Huawei TruSeen™ 5.0+ heart rate monitor and Huawei TruSleep 2.0 sleep monitoring to provide wearers with comprehensive health monitoring functions.

The capabilities provided by the ECG app are also available on the Huawei Watch D smartwatch, allowing you to set customized measurement plans based on which the device will provide blood pressure reminders at scheduled times, such as when you wake up and when you go to sleep, so that the wearer can track changes in blood pressure.
