San Francisco (German news agency) – Tech billionaire Elon Musk is backing down on the planned purchase of Twitter for the time being. “The Twitter deal is temporarily on hold,” Musk wrote on Twitter himself on Friday.
It is about a pending proof that spam and fake accounts actually make up less than 5 percent of users, Musk wrote. Twitter’s share price collapsed by more than 20 percent in European trading immediately after the tweet. Just a few days ago, Musk made headlines with the announcement that he wanted to bring former US President Donald Trump back on Twitter.
