Emmerdale fans struggled to keep a straight face after they saw hidden music lyrics in Faith Dingle’s heartbreaking confession after she confessed she wanted to stop taking chemotherapy treatment.
During Monday’s (June 20) installment of the popular ITV soap opera, viewers watched the poignant moment the loving mother decided to abandon her cancer treatment after learning her secondary breast cancer diagnosis was terminal.
The longtime character has been a fan favorite on the show for years, but last Thursday the star dropped the bombshell diagnosis that she only had a few months to live as she began to get her affairs in order.
And on Monday, she plucked up the courage to tell her sons Chas and Cain, who were less impressed with her decision to stop treatment after completing two of three rounds of medication.

She confessed: “I think chemotherapy is not for me, Chas, not this time. The best thing he’s going to do is give me a couple more months.”
Chas asked, “Well, that’s something, isn’t it?”
Faith responded, “Well, I thought so too, but at what cost? I think it’s time to hit him over the head, love.”
“That’s the life hack you see, knowing when to hold them and when to fold them and I kept my promise.”
Faith left fans devastated when she announced she was quitting chemotherapy.
But fans were left distracted as they watched the emotional scenes after Faith quoted a Kenny Rogers song while breaking the news to her daughter.
After the emotional scenes aired, fans flooded Twitter to share their thoughts on her heartbreaking speech online.
One user wrote: “Ok who else finished Faith’s line from The Gambler song? #Emmerdale.”

Another agreed: “‘Know when to hold ’em and when to fold ’em.” Stealing a line from ‘The Gambler’ by Kenny Roger. I see what you did there, Faith. #Emmerdale.”
A third person chimed in with: “Faith [crying emoji] #Emmerdale. You have to know when to hold them…know how to bend them.”
