Yassine Bounou was born in Canada but is of Moroccan descent. It has nothing to do with River, but the goalkeeper managed to become a fan of the Greatest from a distance. He is a member of the River affiliate in the African country and even had the luxury of traveling to Japan in 2015 to support the team in the Club World Cup final against Barcelona. He saves at Sevilla in Spain, he was the hero of his team in Qatar 2022 and he is a chicken like all of us.

Bono, as everyone knows him, has devotion to Burrito OrtegaHis dog is named after him and during the World Cup, they sent him a Millionaire’s shirt signed by Jujuy, with a video in which the idol of the Greatest sent him greetings. Before the World Cup, River had already sent him a jacket.

A dream come true for the 31-year-old goalkeeper, who shares a team with Gonzalo Montiel, Lucas Ocampos and Erik Lamelaall players who breathe River and whose paths will reach Nuñez again at some point.

Meanwhile, Coco Lamela further highlighted Bono’s fanaticism for the red band: “He wants to play in Argentina, more precisely in River. He is a friend of Ariel Ortega and follows the team“, AS from Spain told him daily, in addition to being amazed at how well he speaks Spanish:”What surprises me the most about him is his accent. He seems Argentine if you listen to him. Perhaps he had many Argentine companions and the tune stuck to him“.
