Spain.- The jewelry firm Tous Each time it is more successful and, last year, it closed with 535 establishments in some 50 countries and in which it grew the most were China, Poland and Russia, with jewelery being the bulk of the group, with 67% of total sales for this type of products. Now, Tous has presented a new jewelry collection, which has been designed by Eugenia Martínez de Irujo and is entitled “My Talisman”.
As often happens in many creative processes, coincidentally, one thing leads to another and this is how Eugenia created this new collection, from the sketch of an elephant with simple lines that one day drew by chance. In Indian and African culture, elephants are symbols of dignity, protection, power and pride and, in many cases, are considered a good luck charm for those who wear them.
For Eugenia, elephants have always evoked the feeling of belonging, of community and family and this is the reason why this initial sketch ended up transcending beyond paper and becoming a new collection for Tous .
“From the simple drawing, I passed, as it could not be otherwise, to pose it as a jewel. I thought maybe I could become a talisman and thus always have everything that it represents: family, union, love, luck and protection … All my collections are inspired by something that moves me. It can be anything: an experience, a thought, a memory, a person … But they always start from a bit of me. My Talisman is inspired by one of the most important things in my life: the family “, as Eugenia Martínez de Irujo has pointed out.
The collection “My Talisman” of Tous and designed by Eugenia Martínez de Irujo is composed of seven pieces, some of them with movement, made with a great variety of materials: gold and silver, vermeil silver and gems such as chalcedony or spinel “.
