Bad luck for ex-FCSG player – Daouda Guindo is out for a long time after returning to Salzburg
Daouda Guindo’s return to Salzburg is ill-fated. The former FC St.Gallen player had to have an operation on his knee.

A knee injury has bothered Daouda Guindo in recent weeks, meaning he has not been able to play any of the pre-season games with Salzburg. The 20-year-old left-back underwent surgery on Monday and is out for a long time.
The operation on the right knee was successful, writes the club.
Guindo should replace Wöber
After a convincing six months in eastern Switzerland, Salzburg ordered the left-back, who was loaned to St.Gallen, back to Austria at the beginning of this year. The Bundesliga leader was reacting to Maximilian Wöber’s departure to Leeds United.
Salzburg will play the first game of the second phase of the championship at home against Austria Lustenau on Saturday.
The 20-year-old Malian Guindo played a total of 17 competitive games for St.Gallen. He scored one goal and provided four assists. (pd/pl)
