1. What connects the assassination attempt on Walter Lübcke with that on Rudi Dutschke? Both politicians represented values that are diametrically opposed to dogmatic nationalists: equal rights for all people. The socialist Dutschke, who was oriented towards early Christianity, fought for the globalization of human rights. The CDU politician Lübcke implemented what his party leader Angela Merkel pretended: Refugees are welcome here. She was threatened with the gallows – Lübcke had to die because he did what every politician would do well: not only to speak of values, but to act according to them. Practically applying the C in the party name: "charity", "sharing", "the stronger helps the weaker". Since then Angela Merkel has been one of the few credible politicians in this country; it is shameful for her party that she did not stand behind her, as it is shameful for Germany that one of the few who did so was literally executed.
Second The assassination is the lowest human form of violent political conflict. Even the tyrannicide is a capitulation of the spirit, an oath of divine utopia.
