On October 1st, the meta group will discontinue the live shopping function on Facebook. From then on it will no longer be possible to start live shopping streams and to integrate product tags into live streams. With Facebook Live Shopping, it is possible to present products in the stream and also place tags directly under which viewers can buy the advertised products. The live shopping function on Instagram will be retained. Otherwise, Meta would like to shift its focus to the short videos called Reels on Instagram and Facebook in order to adapt to changing customer behavior.
