Fact-finding missions in Nan as part of the Buffarm project

Visit to the industrial farm a few kilometres from the village

The team consisted of Suthee Janyasuthiwong (Lecturer, Dept of Environment Kasetsart University), Mr. Tulyawat Prasongmaneerut (researcher at Chulaborhn Research Institute), botanist consultant Kim (PhD in botany, University of Montpellier-IRD) and Nicolas Lainé, anthropologist at UMR PALOC (IRD-MNHN), accompanied by Mr. Prateep Jantawong (Tdodee), research assistant.

This mission was funded by the TICA Innovative Animal Health project in partnership with Kasetsart University in Bangkok. The return from the field made it possible to formalize the collaboration with the International Buffalo Information Center (KU Library) in Bangkok by signing an MoU. The plant samples were deposited at the Bangkok Herbarium (BK), Plant Varieties Protection Office, an institution with which a partnership agreement for the deposit and management of the herbarium has been signed.
