On Tuesday, Warner Bros. rolled. released a 13 minute video from the Gotham Knights. The video – which you can watch above – shows games from the upcoming action adventure, where the heroes Nightwing and Red Hood beat up various thugs.
However, the presentation has not been popular with fans, and YouTube, Twitter and ResetEra is flooded with negative comments that make the combat system seem clumsy.
In particular, several point out the way the figures “slide” across the floor to be placed in the right place for an attack. The shooting has also received some pepper, as Red Hood’s weapons seem very ineffective against enemies.
In addition to matches, the video also offers glimpses of sneaking, equipment upgrades and the different ways you can travel around Gotham. Nightwing has a bunch of gadgets that let him soar from rooftop to rooftop, while Red Hood can jump in the air.
Drops previous console generation
While the game is criticized for what fans think is an outdated combat system, Warner has announced that the Gotham Knights are focusing exclusively on new consoles. The development team has scrapped the planned versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
– To give players the best possible gaming experience, the game will be launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X / S and PC and will not be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Warner explains via the game’s website.
Gotham Knights launches on October 25.
Warner has several superhero games on the way.
