The identity of the young man who died following a violent exit from the road in Saint-Clément was officially confirmed by the Sûreté du Québec on July 18 at the end of the morning. This is Jeffrey Dubé, 23, from Saint-Hubert-de-Rivière-du-Loup. He had been missing since Friday evening.
Recall that the SQ police officers had been alerted on July 17 around 2 p.m. that an individual had been missing since the night before. A search was carried out by the patrollers as well as a citizen in a helicopter. The pilot eventually managed to spot a crashed vehicle in a ravine, hidden by trees, after repeatedly passing over the location.
At the time of the research, the victim’s sister made a Facebook post asking the population to find her brother. His family had not heard from him since Friday, July 16 at 11 p.m. when Jeffrey Dubé had left the house to go to Saint-Jean-de-Dieu. His post was shared by over 1,000 people. In the evening, Saturday, messages of sympathy multiplied on social networks. An investigation is still underway to find out the causes and circumstances surrounding the accident that occurred on the 8th row.
According to the Sûreté du Québec, several hours would have passed between the time of the accident and the time Jeffrey Dubé was found.
