Fatal accident in Würzburg for the third time in court: car racing or not?

The inexperience of a young driver had terrible consequences: In December 2018, the then 18-year-old stepped on the accelerator in his father’s 200-hp car while going shopping and accelerated – according to the expert, up to a speed of almost “190 things”. At Burggrumbach in the Würzburg district, the car got into the opposite lane in a curve. He raced into an oncoming vehicle. The passenger in it died. Was it sheer inexperience or a conscious decision? Two and a half years and three court hearings later, there is no doubt about the young driver’s guilt.
