The Covid will have had the skin of the 2020 edition of Eurockéennes, but festival-goers are back on the Malsaucy peninsula in 2021. A special edition, from July 20 to 24, which allows 1000 lucky people a day to find the atmosphere of the festival, concerts, bars and foodtrucks.
We instinctively expected a crowd lining up in front of the entrance to the Eurockéennes de Belfort 2021. Obviously, the festival-goers arrived little by little and the crowd did not take place. This was also the goal for the organizers since it is currently impossible to experience the “Eurocks of before”, due to the pandemic linked to the coronavirus. The traditional Belfort festival has been renamed “In secondary residence”, sanitary measures oblige, and takes place over 5 days, from Tuesday July 20 to Saturday July 24. Wearing a mask is compulsory on this first day, so the health pass will be put in place on Wednesday for anyone wishing to access the site.
This Tuesday, the joy was read under the masks and in the shining eyes of lovers of live music. Unsurprisingly, the festival-goers did not shy away from their pleasure to be there. “We were looking forward to this after two years with nothing, everyone will tell you the same thing” confirms Sonia, after crossing the security barriers shortly after 6 p.m. Only 1000 seats were sold for this special edition. The evening is therefore particularly convivial with a flock of loyal Eurocks. “It’s good that things start again, for the organizers too” confirms Daniel, Eurockéennes 2019 t-shirt on the back.
Eurockéennes 2021: opening of the festival
With a magnificent DJ stage with vegetal decoration and a stage on the water, installed at the place where the Eurocks staff bar is traditionally posted, the scenography has been particularly worked and caught the eye of many visitors who discover a space they have never had access to in the past. From 7:30 p.m., the sound resonated with Swiss DJ Asher Selector & DJ Shoobing. The party promises to be beautiful.
