Specialists often experience that they feel well trained to work with the children in the day-care centres. Working with parents and conducting conversations with often sensitive content, on the other hand, is experienced as a part of the work that challenges, pushes the limits and in some cases also overwhelms.

The aim of this further training event is to make the participants more capable of acting in this area by imparting theoretical knowledge, mutual exchange as well as self-awareness exercises and role-playing games.

To use

During the training we will deal with the following topics:
• the parents’ perspective
• the children’s perspective
• the perspective of the educators (mission, limits)
• the concept of ‘safe place’ in parent work
• Goals of parent work
• General conditions of parent talks
• inner attitude
• Discussion rules and techniques

Time frame / program

Day 1: 10:00 a.m. – approx. 6:00 p.m
Day 2: 09:00 – approx. 16:30


The work takes place in the plenum and small groups, including a variety of methodological impulses. Questions and case studies from practice can be worked on together.
