A man is in Göttingen fell out of the window of a burning apartment and died. How exactly it to that fall came on Monday afternoon is still unclear, the police said in the evening. The resident of the apartment on the second floor of an apartment building succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

Previously, for an initially unknown reason, there was a fire in the apartment in the district Geismar broken out A resident of the house suffered smoke inhalation in the stairwell and was taken to a hospital. The extent of the damage was initially unclear. The police seized the scene of the fire and are now investigating.

Wildeshausen: Angler finds constrictor in tall grass

An angler has a roughly two meter long constrictor found in the district of Oldenburg. The man discovered the coiled snake on Sunday in the tall grass on the Hunte River in Wildeshausen, the police said on Monday. He informed officials, who sent photos of the animal to a veterinarian. The vet caught the constrictor and took care of it. The police are now looking for the owner.


Fatal smoke break: Four-year-old continues alone by train

Because the 34-year-old father in Hamelin wanted to smoke briefly at the station and couldn’t get back on the S-Bahn because of the door lock, drove his four year old daughter alone after Hannover. This is reported by the federal police in Hanover.
