Fire in senior citizens’ residence in Darmstadt

DARMSTADT. (red). Shortly before 7 a.m. on Friday, the professional fire brigade was called to a senior citizens’ residential complex, where there was a fire in the basement with heavy smoke development. Due to the number of people affected, the Darmstadt city center volunteer fire brigade was also alerted. 15 people who live and work in the condominium were taken outside and to a nearby school. The fire was located and extinguished in a very short time. Extensive ventilation measures followed.
