First test run for C’Chartres Football, this Tuesday evening, against Romorantin

It is not yet an official match. For that, it will be necessary to wait until the kick-off of National 2, on Saturday August 7, if all goes well… But, exactly 138 days after his last outing on February 25, when he had beaten, 2-1, the Bourges Foot in a meeting which was to serve as a rehearsal for a resumption of the championship finally never come, C’Chartres Football will finally replay, this Tuesday, July 13, at 6 p.m.

The team of the duo Jean-Pierre Papin – Kader Chehida is expected in Selles-Saint-Denis (Loir-et-Cher) for the first of its five preparatory matches this summer, against Romorantin (N2).

With six players from the reserve team

The entire N2 workforce will not have the pleasure of putting on a match jersey again. After fifteen days of intensive work, including an altitude training course near Carroz d’Arâches (Haute-Savoie), the CCF deplores four absences due to physical problems.

C’Chartres Football in a mountain camp: “It hits the nail on the head”, says Kévin Malaga

The most problematic is that of the right side Nicolas Palbrois, “out” for about twenty days for a muscle injury to the thigh. “With the re-athletic training behind, it will be six weeks of unavailability”, imagines JPP.

Aurélien Gazeau (calf), Mehdi Haddadou (adductors) and Sekou Fofana (knee) should be fit before that. Perhaps from this Saturday July 17 for a home meeting against Poissy for Haddadou. The Chartreuse clan is crossing their fingers.

In the meantime, a Moroccan reinforcement, from Wydad Casablanca, is still blocked in his country and the staff has only thirteen valid field players to test against the SOR: five defenders, four midfielders and four attackers.

This is not a reason to worry for President Gérard Soler. “We prefer a small group that lives well and reward young people from the reserve by bringing them up, rather than sending players from the N2 below,” explains the leader.

This is the option chosen for today’s test. Six boys from the N3 were called in, five of whom joined the group on Monday, July 13: Yanis Bousseaden, Matéo Tesson, Kyam Bouchenter and Wissam Jedd, already at the club last season, as well as rookies Bastien Vilmercati (Pacy / N3) and Iyad Kenan (Challans / N3), both former FC Drouais.

Jean-Pierre Papin and Kader Chehida will offer them playing time this Tuesday to allow a good rotation against a Solognot opponent who already has a match in his legs, a 1-0 success against a selection of players looking for a club.

In a high volume week, the goal is for each element to spend 45 minutes or an hour or less in the field. Jean-Pierre Papin confides:

We already want to rediscover the taste for effort and the sensations of a match. The result, I don’t care. Last year, we won everything during prep and we started the championship with two defeats! The most important thing is not to be injured. Everything will fall into place quietly …

Quietly, but surely, we must hope for the CCF.
