Football – Freiburg im Breisgau – swap deal: Demirovic comes to FCA, Gregoritsch goes – sport

Freiburg (dpa) – The striker swap deal between the Bundesliga soccer teams SC Freiburg and FC Augsburg is perfect. Austria international Michael Gregoritsch is moving from Augsburg to Freiburg with immediate effect. At the same time, Ermedin Demirovic is going the opposite way: the Bosnia-Herzegovina international left Breisgau despite a contract until June 30, 2024 and is now playing for FCA. Both clubs announced this on Friday.

The 28-year-old Gregoritsch had already arrived at the training camp in Schruns at noon, said the Europa League participant. Gregoritsch’s contract, which the sports club would have liked to have signed last year, would have continued in Fuggerstadt for another year until June 30, 2023.

In the morning, the 24-year-old Demirovic had already driven from Schruns to Augsburg for a medical check-up. According to dpa information, however, there is no transfer fee in either direction.

“Michael has really developed again in the past year. In terms of frustration tolerance and personality, he was able to make another significant step in addition to his already existing qualities such as playfulness and final strength,” said SC sports director Klemens Hartenbach. After Matthias Ginter (Borussia Mönchengladbach), Daniel-Kofi Kyereh (FC St. Pauli) and Ritsu Doan (PSV Eindhoven), Gregoritsch is the fourth new signing from Breisgau.
