Former Deputy Speaker of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Mahmood Jan arrested

Peshawar: Leader of Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Deputy Speaker of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Mahmood Jan was arrested in the case of murder and attempted murder.

According to the police, a case of murder and attempted murder has been registered against former Deputy Speaker Mehmood Jan. Police produced nominated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and former Deputy Speaker of KPK Assembly Mahmood Jan in the court of Judicial Magistrate. Where the court decided to hand over the accused to the police on one-day physical remand.

The police said that due to the property dispute, there was a dispute with the local people, as a result of which 3 people were killed on both sides and more than 8 were injured.

Earlier, the police had asked the court for more time to interrogate the accused, saying that the accused had been granted interim bail by the Dera Ismail Khan local court after which the accused was arrested. The accused was arrested on the charge of firing on the Isa Khaile procession from Reggi police station.
