Four-stroke Debruyn; Manchester City jump to the title | Manchester City jump to the title

LONDON: Manchester City are four points adrift with two games to go in the Premier League as they look to win the title. City added more color to their title hopes by beating the Wolves by five goals to one. Second-placed Liverpool are currently three points behind.

The Belgian wolves shook the net four times in the first half, with Kevin de Bruyne in the lead. Raheem Sterling also scored the remaining goal. De Bruyne opened the scoring for City in the seventh minute.

Bernardo Silva’s pass was easily converted. The Wolves held on for four minutes on their own turf but the draw did not last long. The Belgian made it clear that he had scored twice in the quarter hour. Guardiola’s team was the only one on the field afterwards. The team shook the net twice in the second half and came back with a win without giving any chance to their opponents.

A win and a draw in the next two games will be enough for City, who are on the verge of victory. On the other hand, it is not enough for the Reds to win both, City must lose at least one. City are far ahead in goal average. Liverpool will face Southampton and the Wolves in the next few matches, with West Ham and Aston Villa facing the Etihad.

With the busy schedule awaiting, the Reds have another match against Chelsea on Saturday night in the FA Cup final. With Liverpool on the verge of winning four titles in a season, City now need to be more lenient to complete it all.
